- Hip flexor compensations usually lead to issues such as, low back pain, knee pain, and IT band syndrome.
- Hamstrings are often the victim of glute failure, which can lead to chronic pain in the high hamstring area. On top of that, they are often unprepared for the load of high speed workouts. This can and often leads to pulled or strained hamstrings that can sideline a runner for longer then they'd like to be.
- The fortunate side effect of creating stronger connective tissue is creating a stronger muscle belly.
- More robust tissues reduce the likelihood of injury and compensation.
This is a 6 week training block with 2 workouts a week.
